Designed with reference to the typographic work produced around the 1951 Festival of Britain, LDN Southbank draws on the influence of designers such as FHK Henrion, Gordon Cullen and Charles Hasler. It shares a typographic skeleton with its companion face LDN Northbank, which diverges through higher stroke contrast and opposing counters. The result is a sturdy yet characterful slab with a distinctly mid-century British sensibility.
