About
Originally cut by Pat and Paul Hickson in the 1980s for QBF under the name Byron, the typeface was sourced from Pitmans' 1931 'Printing Types of the World'. It has since been substantially overhauled, with sharpened terminals, increased contrast and a broadened character set including new alternates and ligatures that echo 18th-century copperplate engraving. Two heavier weights, Medium and Bold, were added in 2022 to complement the original Light.
