About
Inspired by Edward M. Catich's thesis on Roman inscriptional lettering, the design moves from an expressive brush through informal pen work to the formal Roman capital. Classical uppercase forms are paired with Lipton's own calligraphic lowercase, small caps and swash characters. Eight styles span Light to Bold, with an extensive set of OpenType features including discretionary ligatures, old-style numerals and stylistic alternates.
