Whistler draws on the bold lettering traditions of 19th- and early 20th-century American product packaging, with thick strokes and decorative caps designed to work in combination. The six-font set layers Regular and Shadow forms with four distinct Insets, allowing considerable variation in the finished result. It functions as a multi-part font system similar to LHF Carnivàle, requiring the components to be stacked to achieve the full effect.
