displaylayered display sans
Versatile specimen from Letterhead Fonts

A warm display sans-serif by Charles Borges, built around a layerable system of three styles each with six overlay fonts for multi-colour stacking effects.

About

Each of the three style variants — Bold, Rust and Hatch — ships with six overlay fonts covering insets, lines, outlines and shadows, enabling up to seven stacked layers per composition. The generous x-height keeps letterforms legible at signage scale, and the family covers over 200 languages with 1,462 characters per font. It is aimed squarely at sign makers, T-shirt designers and packaging work rather than extended text use.

Classification

A warm, humanist-leaning display sans-serif designed primarily for layered, multi-colour compositions. The family's core purpose is decorative stacking via overlay fonts rather than text setting, placing it firmly in the display category.
