Letterhead Fonts · John Studden

A four-font set designed for recreating early 1900s commercial lettering, drawn from Sanborn Insurance Map typography and suited to stock certificates and period letterheads.
About
Inspired by the Sanborn Map Company's distinctive early twentieth-century cartographic lettering, Springfield offers four fonts with extensive alternate characters and OpenType features including automatic ligatures and contextual alternates. The family spans two primary styles plus a shadow variant and a sans companion, allowing layered or standalone period-appropriate typesetting. Multiple alternate characters per font give considerable flexibility for authentic historical recreation.
