LHF Mercantile specimen from Letterhead Fonts

A four-variant display set inspired by late 19th-century lettering, with a separately layerable shadow font for independent colour and opacity control.

About

Drawn by Denise Bayers, the family ships as four fonts: Regular, Shadow, Full (Regular and Shadow combined), and Spurs. The Shadow variant is engineered to align precisely behind the Regular, making colour and opacity adjustments straightforward in any layering workflow. Its origins in Victorian-era commercial lettering give it the spurred, ornate character typical of period signage and packaging.

Classification

A decorative display typeface inspired by late 19th-century lettering styles, featuring spurred details and a companion shadow font, placing it firmly in the vintage western or antique display tradition.
