Kodiak was developed collaboratively by Charles Borges and Brian Grant, translating Grant's decades of sign painting experience into a digital typeface that avoids the stiffness typical of mechanically constructed scripts. Its western character draws on period truck lettering, making it well suited to both retro-themed work and modern logo design. The family ships with 185 alternates, 10 ornaments and a complimentary copy of Borges Catchwords 1.
