Designed by John Studden and inspired by a historical handbill from the Hamilton Bank Note Engraving & Printing Company, this face reflects the embellished lettering tradition of early twentieth-century commercial engraving. It is the first of two typefaces derived from the same source, the other being Hamilton Nailhead. The design suits period-style editorial, packaging and ephemera work requiring an authentic vintage character.
