Cavalero specimen from Letterhead Fonts

An old-fashioned Western display set by Denise Bayers, drawing on 19th-century stock certificate lettering across eight layerable fonts with shadow, spur, distressed and inset variants.

About

Cavalero is built for layered composition, with two subfamilies each offering regular, shadow, inset and bonus glyph fonts that stack to produce depth and period detail. The design borrows its decorative sensibility from antique stock certificates, giving it a slightly more refined edge than straightforward saloon-sign Western styles. Numerous alternates are included to vary the lettering within a single setting.

Classification

Ornate Western-style display typeface borrowing decorative elements from old stock certificates, with layered shadow, spurs, distressed and inset variants typical of 19th-century American vernacular typography.
