Tita Script specimen from Latinotype

A calligraphic display script rooted in Buenos Aires' fileteado porteño tradition and Milonga music, drawn from Sandra Biondi's calligraphy and digitalised by Daniel Hernández in 2015.

About

Tita Script draws its curves from polyrhythmic calligraphy taught by mentor Silvia Cordero Vega, and is shaped by the ornamental hand-lettering style native to the streets of Buenos Aires. The family is split across four styles — Pro, Essential, Alt and Icons — giving access to its full decorative range. Its character is unambiguously Argentine: expressive, theatrical and deeply connected to working-class porteño culture.

Classification

A hand-lettering-based script rooted in polyrhythmic calligraphy and the fileteado porteño decorative lettering tradition of Buenos Aires. Its fluid, expressive curves and ornamental character place it firmly in the calligraphic display script category.
