Stgotic
Latinotype · Daniel Hernández · 2006

A single-weight blackletter designed in 2006 for low-resolution screens, optimised for rendering at 8pt and its multiples.
About
Daniel Hernández's debut digital typeface takes the blackletter tradition and applies it to the constraints of early-2000s screen technology, with letterforms tuned to perform at 8pt on low-resolution devices. The design was recognised as the best screen font by TipoGráfica magazine at the Bienal de Letras Latinas in 2006. It was published commercially through Latinotype in 2012.
Classification
A blackletter typeface designed specifically for low-resolution screen rendering at 8pt and multiples thereof, placing it firmly in the blackletter category with a functional, pixel-aware approach.
