Sanchez Condensed specimen from Latinotype

A condensed geometric slab serif by Daniel Hernández that takes Rockwell as its starting point and softens the result with rounded edges across 12 styles from ExtraLight to Black.

About

Sanchez Condensed adapts the square, monolinear structure of the Egyptian slab tradition with rounded terminals that temper the rigidity typical of Rockwell-style typefaces. The family runs 12 styles – six weights each with a matching italic – all sharing a consistent x-height. Regular and Italic cuts are available at no cost, with heavier weights sold individually or as a full family.

Classification

A condensed slab serif in the Egyptian tradition, closely related to Rockwell but distinguished by rounded edges on its otherwise square structure. The geometric, monolinear stroke quality and slab serifs place it firmly in the Egyptian/geometric slab category.
