Princesa specimen from Latinotype

A father-and-daughter collaboration drawing from classical Roman letterforms, offered in 36 styles across two subfamilies with Cyrillic support and four stylistic sets.

About

Developed over two years by Enrique and Ely Hernández with input from the Latinotype team, Princesa pairs a standard and an alternate subfamily, each running nine weights with matching italics. The design is characterised by pronounced stroke contrast and carefully shaped letterforms that balance historical reference with contemporary utility. Cyrillic coverage and four stylistic sets affecting nearly 40 characters extend its versatility for editorial, branding and advertising work.

Classification

Inspired by classic Roman typefaces, Princesa features pronounced stroke contrast and refined letterforms that place it within the transitional serif tradition, updated with contemporary proportions and alternate glyph sets.
