Juana Sans
Latinotype · Ely Hernández, Latinotype Team · 2025

A 24-style sans-serif family in two optical cuts, designed by Ely Hernández for editorial and branding work, pairing a high-contrast display version with a softened text companion.
About
Juana Sans extends the existing Juana type system with two complementary approaches: a display cut built for headlines and visual impact, and a text cut that reduces contrast to ease reading in body copy. Eight weights run across both subfamilies, each with matching italics, giving the full family 24 styles in total. The design is positioned within a broader Juana ecosystem alongside the original, intended to cover the full editorial spectrum from short display lines to extended reading.
Classification
A high-contrast humanist sans-serif with editorial character, offered in display and text optical variants. The design softens contrast in the text cut to aid readability while preserving the stylised personality of the display version.
