Footnotes issue D (catalogue number LP04, October 2022) runs to 48 pages with 102 black-and-white illustrations, edited and designed by Mathieu Christe and printed in Geneva. Contributions come from Martin Majoor, Ferdinand P. Ulrich, Joost Grootens and Pierre Pané-Farré, addressing subjects from Dutch telephone book typography to material qualities of Victorian poster type. Each copy includes a shelf-mark, a visual clues card and a surprise sample, with an original archival sample from February 1996 inserted by hand into every copy.
