Klim's debut release: a warm Garalde serif built on the principle that a straight line is a dead line, with deliberately curvaceous letterforms across a text range and a headline-specific Display cut.
About
Feijoa was the first typeface issued by Klim Type Foundry, released in 2007. Designed by Kris Sowersby, it takes a Garalde oldstyle structure and resolves every sharp angle into a gentle curve, humanising the letterforms without undermining their authority at text sizes. The family runs to four styles spanning a text range (Medium and Bold) and a Display cut drawn for 16pt and above, with fanciful ligatures inspired by Zuzana Licko's Mrs Eaves adding an extra layer of typographic warmth.
