The typeface revives and expands the distinctive lettering from the 'Keep Calm and Carry On' poster, which remained unseen until its rediscovery in 2000. Four weights run from Light to Heavy, each paired with an optically corrected italic featuring true-italic forms of 'a' and 'f'. Version 2.0 extended coverage to Latin Extended-A, Welsh diacritics and Irish dotted consonants, and includes alternate single-storey 'g' and a simplified 't' as accessible alternates.
Classification
A geometric sans with humanist tendencies, derived from the lettering on the 1939 British wartime poster. The lowercase g follows the Gill/Johnston eyeglass model, placing it firmly in the British humanist tradition.
