A character-driven Korean display typeface built around the mythology of Korean yokai, using geometric forms, variable font technology and narrative dingbats to animate the story of Heukgap and Baekgap spirit soldiers.
About
Designed by Song Mu-nwi and Lee Ga-hee, this typeface takes Korean folklore as its structural foundation: each letterform is simplified to circles, squares and triangles, with the rounded 'ㅇ' acting as the design origin from which all other glyphs are derived. Variable font axes allow internal counters to shift, simulating the movement of spirit soldiers engaged in battle within the letterforms themselves. Ten dingbats per font cover yin-yang symbolism, the five elements of Eastern philosophy and character-specific weapons drawn from traditional Korean armoury.

A highly stylised, non-rectangular (탈네모꼴) Korean display typeface with geometric character construction derived from circles, squares and triangles. Its narrative-driven dingbats and variable font features place it firmly in the display/decorative category.
