Bantayog Sans specimen from Jad Maza

A rounded sans-serif workhorse drawn from the letterforms cast on Philippine historical markers, supporting both Latin and Baybayin scripts across seven weights with matching italics.

About

Bantayog Sans takes its formal cues from the inscribed characters of Philippine historical markers, translating that source material into a polished 14-style family. The rounded terminals give the family a warm quality without sacrificing the utility expected of a workhorse sans. Baybayin script support alongside Latin makes it one of the few contemporary retail typefaces to treat the indigenous Philippine script as a first-class citizen.

Classification

A rounded humanist sans-serif drawn from letterforms found on Philippine historical markers, with soft terminals and a polished construction that places it within the humanist sans tradition rather than strict geometric or grotesque lineage.
