Glyphic draws on Egyptian typographic tradition without adopting its most recognisable feature, the slab serif, instead channelling that horizontal sensibility through details like a near-flat base stroke on the lowercase 'e'. Optical adjustments such as overshoot are minimised or omitted, producing a slightly raw, handmade feel. Despite its single weight, the face ships with contextual alternates, discretionary ligatures, small caps and old-style numerals, giving it considerable versatility for a display font.
