Developed in 2014 for a Kickstarter card game of the same name, SteamCourt merges the regal quality of historical blackletter with the cogs, clocks and airship aesthetic of steampunk. Asymmetrical serifs give it visual tension while careful balancing across the character set keeps it legible at display sizes. Ninety alternate characters and contextual alternates allow for considerable customisation in packaging, branding and logotype work.
