Sildetas specimen from Insignedesign

A six-weight connected script ranging from a near-Spencerian hairline to an ultra-heavy black, unified by swirled ball terminals and an extensive set of OpenType alternates.

About

Sildetas spans an unusually wide tonal range for a script family, from an almost Spencerian hairline to an ultra-heavy black conceived as the design's core weight. Connected letterforms serve as primary glyphs, with non-connecting and titling alternates available via OpenType. Over 60 alternate letterforms, swash endings, contextual alternates, discretionary ligatures and five stylistic sets give designers considerable flexibility across invitations, editorial and display work.

Classification

A high-contrast, connected formal script with Spencerian influences in the lighter weights. The heavy weights shift toward a bold display script character, unified by distinctive swirled ball terminals throughout.
