sans-serifhumanist sanscondensed
Sangli specimen from Insignedesign

The third in a three-part sans-serif series from Insignedesign, Sangli occupies a middle ground between the rounded Chennai and the sharper Madurai, offering six weights across condensed, regular and extended widths for a total of 54 fonts.

About

Sharing the same structural core as Chennai and Madurai, Sangli replaces those fonts' more extreme terminal treatments with softer, less sharp forms that read well at both headline and body copy sizes. The family spans six weights with condensed and extended width options, small caps and alternate letterforms for a more traditional appearance. Extended Latin support covers over 70 languages, and the three series members are designed to complement one another in mixed use.

Classification

A humanist sans-serif with modulated stems and friendly, less sharp terminals, positioned between the rounded Chennai and the sharp Madurai as part of a three-font series sharing a common structural core.
