Derived from the same geometric skeleton as Sancoale and Sancoale Softened, Slab Soft adds rounded slab serifs to produce a warmer, more approachable texture suited to both body copy and display use. Weights are calibrated to remain visually compatible with the other Sancoale members, allowing mixed-family setting. OpenType features include small capitals, old-style and lining figures, scientific superiors and inferiors, fractions and a range of alternates, with coverage for approximately forty Latin-script languages.
Classification
Rounded slab serif derived from the geometric Sancoale family, with softened terminals on the slab serifs rather than blunted sans terminals. The rounded treatment and simple geometric construction place it firmly in the geometric slab category.
