Part of the broader Mynaruse superfamily, Flare replaces the more elongated serifs of the original with tapered, incised stem endings inspired by classical Roman stone-cutting. Eight weights provide a broad range from delicate to commanding, suited to logotypes, posters and luxury editorial work. OpenType features include swash alternates, titling forms, ligatures and miscellaneous alternates.
Classification
A flare serif (also known as a stress serif or incised serif) derived from Roman inscriptional lettering, where the stroke endings flare outward rather than terminating in bracketed or slab serifs. This places it between a pure sans and a traditional serif, in the incised or lapidary tradition.
