Montarsi
Insignedesign · Jeremy Dooley

A high-contrast calligraphic display family in eight weights, drawing on the fluid curves of Arabic script to produce bold, graceful letterforms suited to fashion and editorial contexts.
About
Designed by Jeremy Dooley, Montarsi takes its formal cues from Arabic calligraphy, translating the ink-on-paper flow of that tradition into a Latin display face with broad strokes and pronounced contrast. Eight weights extend its range from delicate to commanding, while small caps, old-style figures and width variations add typographic flexibility. An increased x-height keeps short headline settings legible across print and screen applications.
Classification
A high-contrast calligraphic display face drawing on Arabic script aesthetics with broad, fluid strokes. The strong stroke contrast and swirling letterforms place it firmly in the display category rather than text serif.
