About
Chatype began as a grassroots initiative to give Chattanooga its own typographic voice, driven by two of the city's practising typographers. The project was accelerated through a focused 48-hour design sprint that brought together a cross-disciplinary team of designers, developers and civic figures. At the time of launch, only a fraction of the typeface had been completed, with development ongoing.
