Aviano Gothic

A mid-contrast sans-serif rooted in early twentieth-century American engraver lettering, offered in six weights with extensive art deco alternates, swashes and discretionary ligatures.
About
Aviano Gothic takes its structural cues from the Aviano family's proportions whilst drawing aesthetic inspiration from copper-plate engravers of the 1900s and the inscriptional signage of the 1920s and 30s. Six weights are supported by four sets of art deco alternates, swashes, titling variants and forty discretionary ligatures, giving designers considerable scope for luxury and high-end applications. It is positioned as a refined alternative to typefaces such as Copperplate, ITC Blair and Engravers Gothic.
Classification
A mid-contrast all-caps-oriented sans-serif drawing from early twentieth-century American engraver lettering traditions, with art deco alternates and a glyphic character that places it closest to engraved/glyphic sans-serif territory.
