Ashemore
Insignedesign · Jeremy Dooley

A geometric sans inflected with Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts detailing, spanning six weights across condensed, regular and extended widths for a total of 36 fonts.
About
Inspired by visits to Barcelona, Germany and Asheville, North Carolina, Ashemore blends the strict structure of a geometric sans with the decorative sensibility of Art Nouveau and the Craftsman tradition. The distinctive terminators on C, G and S are the most visible expression of this influence, giving the face a restrained, craft-inflected character that holds up in longer text settings. The family includes small caps, multiple numeral sets, OpenType alternates and support for over 40 extended Latin languages.
Classification
A geometric sans at its core, but inflected with Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts ornamental sensibility, particularly in the distinctive terminators of C, G and S. The geometric structure is softened by eccentric, craft-influenced detailing.
