TobyFont specimen from IngoFonts

A freehand display face drawn in pencil by twelve-year-old Tobias Düsel in 2002, referencing college and military lettering traditions, issued in three layerable variants for multicolour effects.

About

Originally sketched on a single sheet of notepaper without a ruler, the letterforms are uppercase-only and geometrically conceived, yet feature optically adjusted strokes that swell and taper rather than running at a uniform weight. Three variants – Empty (outline-shadow), Inside (fill) and Full (combined) – share identical metrics so they can be stacked precisely to produce two- or three-colour compositions. The face works particularly well at large sizes, where its hand-carved, poster-like quality is most apparent.

Classification

A hand-lettered display face drawn freehand by a twelve-year-old, based on college and military lettering traditions. Geometric in structure but with optically adjusted strokes that swell and taper, it exists in three layerable variants (Empty, Inside, Full) suited to large-scale display use.
