A five-weight monolinear humanist sans for the Devanagari script, with open counters, real knots and straight connecting strokes across 738 glyphs per style.
About
Designed by Dhruvi Tolia and released in 2015, the family applies humanist sans principles to Devanagari, keeping matras and ukars well below base character height for a clean typographic rhythm. Traditional knot forms and open loops are retained, while connecting strokes are kept straight rather than curved. The five weights span Light to Bold, supporting Hindi, Marathi and Sanskrit.
Classification
A monolinear humanist sans in the Devanagari script, sharing the open counters and formal simplification typical of Latin humanist sans serifs. Low stroke contrast and straight connecting strokes distinguish it from more traditional Devanagari type styles.
