A 20-style humanist sans from 2019 by Diana Ovezea and Samo Ačko, designed as part of the broader Passenger superfamily alongside a matching serif and display.
About
Passenger Sans offers compact proportions and small apertures, with all upright strokes terminating at horizontal or vertical angles for a disciplined, legible texture at text sizes. The italic cuts adopt single-storied 'a' and 'g' forms, contrasting with the double-storied uprights, and alternate versions of each are accessible via OpenType. Proportional lining figures are the default, with oldstyle and tabular figures also available, making the family well suited to editorial and data-rich applications.
Classification
Compact proportions with small apertures and horizontal/vertical stroke endings in the upright cuts place this firmly in the humanist sans tradition, with strong legibility characteristics suited to text and editorial use.
