A custom corporate type system designed for Finnish furniture brand Martela, pairing a geometric sans in two weights with a monospaced companion, unified by subtly bevelled corners.

Designed in collaboration with Aivan agency, the family balances industrial precision with warmth through carefully considered bevelled corners that soften the geometric structure without diluting it. Martela Sans covers Regular and Bold weights for everyday editorial and navigational use, while Martela Sans Mono introduces a fixed-width rhythm suited to product documentation and interfaces. The system is built for long-term, multi-context deployment across digital screens, signage and print.
Classification
A geometric sans with subtly bevelled corners and industrial proportions, accompanied by a monospaced companion; the bevelling softens the geometry without departing from a structured, functional character.
