An expressive sans built on road signage, where the repairs, stretches and patches of public lettering become part of the design.
About
Strekka starts from a sturdy grotesque and lets the street argue with it: proportions shift, details wobble and odd gestures creep in, the way signage gets repainted and squeezed to fit over the years. Nine weights from Thin to Black, each in an upright and a monospaced cut, plus a variable font. Made for branding, posters, editorial and display work that wants a sans with some grit.
Classification
A sans serif built on a solid grotesque structure and deliberately disturbed by uneven details, altered proportions and odd gestures drawn from weathered, repainted and patched road signage. Upright and monospaced styles share the same system.
