Designed by Noël Leu and first released in 2009, GT Walsheim takes its reference from the hand-lettering of Swiss poster designer Otto Baumberger, resulting in a geometric sans that avoids the coldness of strict Futura derivatives. The family spans eight weights from Ultra Light to Ultra Bold, each with a matching oblique, and extends into a Condensed subfamily. Script coverage reaches across hundreds of Latin-alphabet languages and the full range of Cyrillic, supported by OpenType alternates for Bulgarian, Serbian and Macedonian.
