A three-cut optical serif by Tobias Rechsteiner and Noël Leu, spanning Micro, Text and Display with expressive stroke contrast rooted in historic letterform traditions.
About
Released by Grilli Type in 2024, the family comprises 30 styles across five weights from Light to Black, each with matching italics, and three optically-adjusted cuts tuned to perform at small, reading and display sizes respectively. The optical range moves through distinct registers — warmth and robustness at small sizes, sharpness and elegance at large — without losing a consistent expressive character across the spectrum. Latin coverage extends across hundreds of languages and the family is available for customisation and language extension.
Classification
GT Pantheon is a multi-optical serif family with three size-specific cuts (Micro, Text, Display), drawing on historic letterform traditions with a contemporary expressive character. Its dynamic stroke contrast and classical proportions place it firmly in the serif category.
