Designed by Noël Leu with Seb McLauchlan and released in 2016, GT America draws on American Gothic and European Neo-Grotesque traditions, selecting design features from each where they perform best at a given weight or width. The family spans Compressed, Condensed, Standard, Extended and Expanded widths plus a Mono subfamily, each running seven weights from Ultra Light to Black with matching italics. Script extensions cover Cyrillic, Greek and Vietnamese alongside an exceptionally broad Latin character set.
