A spinoff of Boggio's Saffron project, DGM Gleff pairs gestural letterforms with the strict grid of a monospaced structure across Mono and Regular cuts.
About
Born from one of several iterations of the Saffron typeface, Gleff occupies the intersection between loose, expressive drawing and the disciplined uniformity of fixed-width spacing. Two primary cuts – Mono and Regular – are offered alongside a Fono variant, with 449 glyphs and a suite of OpenType features including small capitals, oldstyle figures, circled digits and case-sensitive forms. The tension between its handmade quality and its mechanical rhythm gives it a distinct character suited to editorial and cultural contexts.
Classification
A fixed-width typeface with two cuts – Mono and Regular – that blends gestural, expressive qualities with the structural rigidity of monospaced design. Its character sits between handwritten spontaneity and the systematic constraints of a grid.
