Geʾez Handwriting Outlines
Geez Archive · Educational Fontware, Inc. · 2023

A single-weight Ethiopic handwriting font that renders letter strokes as sequences of circular dots, designed to help children learn the hand motions of the Geʾez script through tracing practice.
About
Part of a 14-typeface collection developed by Educational Fontware, Inc. for teaching Ethiopic handwriting to children, this face covers the full Ethiopic Unicode ranges used for Amharic (U+1200–U+137F and U+1380–U+139F) alongside basic Latin. The dot-outline approach is strictly functional: each stroke is broken into a dotted path that a learner can trace to internalise the correct movement. Released under the SIL Open Font License, the project is hosted on GitHub.
Classification
Designed to render Ethiopic script strokes as sequences of circular dots for tracing practice, placing it firmly in the handwriting/script category. Its primary function is pedagogical rather than typographic in the conventional sense.
