Chiret covers the main Ethiopic Unicode block (U+1200–U+137F) and the Ethiopic supplement (U+1380–U+139F), providing 416 encoded characters for Amharic text. It is distributed as a TTF with a CSS API endpoint for web use. No italic or weight variants are available.

Classification

A single-weight Ethiopic typeface covering the full Amharic Unicode range. The Latin sample glyphs suggest a simple sans-serif construction, though the primary purpose is Ethiopic script support.
