Where GD Gaio aims for neutrality, GD Gaio Smooth courts restlessness by applying soft corners asymmetrically and selectively, so no two strokes resolve in quite the same way. The resulting personality is bold without being decorative in any conventional sense. Six weights from Regular to Black, each with a matching italic, are complemented by a variable font with axes for weight and roundness. Latin script coverage extends to over 200 languages.
