Quick Marker, Brush specimen from Font Review Journal

A two-variant casual script family by Philipp Herrmann, originating from Moltow marker sketches and sign-painting tradition, with pichação graffiti informing its distinctive snaking strokes.

About

Quick Marker contrasts undulating lines with the geometry of a square-nibbed tool, while Quick Brush softens those strokes into a more fluid, free-flowing companion. Both variants share an aggressive forward tilt, tight counters and distinctive curled terminals at the tops of capitals. Distributed by Out of the Dark, the family is best deployed at large scale against bold colour, where its confident, hand-made character reads as effortless rather than overwrought.

Classification

A casual sign-painter script in two variants: Quick Marker (square-nibbed, geometric) and Quick Brush (smoother, more fluid). Rooted in the sign-painting tradition of casual lettering, with influences from pichação graffiti and physical marker work.
