Kis Sans takes Nicholas Kis's letterforms, originally cut in Amsterdam in the late 17th century, as its starting point for a sans-serif interpretation. The humanist heritage of the source material gives the face its characteristic warmth and organic stroke variation. The project is one of several historical revival efforts by the Hungarian foundry Font HU.
