The family revives Griffith's Paragon, one of several typefaces developed for the Legibility Group intended for small-body newspaper printing under poor-quality conditions. Its lighter weight was a deliberate response to the over-inking common in newspaper press runs. A third variant, P-acr-agon, extends the project by drawing on Phil Baines's You Can Read Me to explore the threshold between human legibility and machine recognition.
