About
Distel draws on the rounded, open letterforms of historical uncial scripts while introducing spiky terminals that emerge from an experimental digitisation process. Typical uncial shapes are preserved by default, with optional alternates allowing substitution of the more historically specific forms. Despite its decorative intent, the face retains sufficient readability at smaller sizes to function beyond headline use, covering over 37 languages across Latin-based writing systems.
