Fumetto Typeface
Fandofonts · Fando Fonts · 2018

An all-caps comic book lettering typeface in five weights, inspired by the hand-lettering of 1970s Italian fumetti, with OpenType randomisation to mimic the natural variation of handwriting.
About
Each weight includes a slanted variant and four glyph alternates per letter, activated via OpenType to distribute variation automatically and reduce the mechanical repetition typical of digital lettering fonts. The design deliberately recalls the Italian letterer's goal of uniform yet hand-drawn letterforms, as seen in newsstand comics of the era. Broad Latin diacritic coverage makes it usable across most Western European languages.
Classification
An all-caps display typeface rooted in the hand-lettering tradition of 1970s Italian comic books, with OpenType randomisation across four glyph variants per letter to simulate handwritten consistency. Its comic book origins and decorative intent place it firmly in the display category.
