MegaMegaTypeType
The text width of Hannes Famira's Montgommery, a neo-grotesk with metal-type quirks and generous spacing.
About
Montgommery Text is the workhorse of the family, a plain-spoken grotesk loosened up with open spacing and small irregularities borrowed from metal type. Six weights from Thin to Bold come with matching obliques, and it sits alongside Montgommery Narrow and Montgommery Wide for a three-width system.
Classification
The regular-width text member of the Montgommery neo-grotesk family, which Type Network describes as carrying the quirks of metal type with very open spacing. Pairs uprights with true obliques rather than cursive italics.
