EXT 8000 specimen from Express Type

A black, ultra-expanded rounded display face built for loud posters, line-ups and club flyers.

About

EXT 8000 stretches a heavy rounded sans as wide as it will go, with tiny squeezed counters and soft corners that keep the mass friendly. The foundry shows it on gig line-ups and "142 BPM" posters, and it comes with arrows and bold punctuation to match. Express Type sell it as a beta single cut, licensed by email at a flat rate.

Classification

A heavy, ultra-expanded display face with rounded corners, squat counters and flat horizontal stress. The width and weight push it well past a grotesque, so it sits in display as a poster and club-flyer face.
