Alan Madić's Andys takes Song's original lowercase-only phototype face – built for vinyl sleeves and poster art in early-1970s Paris – and extends it into a complete family of five interlocking cuts: Rainbow, Solid, Op, Graphic and Nova. The cuts are conceived for layered composition, echoing the interplay of lines, colour and motion characteristic of that era's graphic design. Modular geometry and a broad Latin language set make it as technically thorough as it is visually exuberant.
